The album takes place in one location: a grand ballroom, gold-lamped and mirror-walled, where humanity has been dancing for as long as anyone can remember. There is a window at the back that everyone agrees is a painting. There is a door nobody uses. And on the bandstand, night after night, plays a band called The Truth — who are excellent, who are loud, who are *right there* — and to whom nobody listens, because you can dance to them.
