The Second Law of Thermodynamics says that in any closed system, entropy increases. Heat always flows from hot to cold, never back. Order becomes disorder. Every star burns out, every structure comes apart, every warm thing cools. It is the most reliably true statement in all of science and it has no exceptions, no appeals, and no mercy — and it applies to your body, your parents, your dog, your marriage, and the sun.
